Citi Handlowy listed in RESPECT Index for the fourth time

Citi Handlowy was included in the Warsaw Stock Exchange RESPECT Index of 23 the most socially responsible companies.

On 31 January 2012 Warsaw Stock Exchange summed up the fourth round of its RESPECT index and published the new list of the RESPECT responsible companies. Four new brands were added to the RESPECT Index portfolio, the CEE's first index of socially responsible companies. Expansion of the index portfolio to 23 companies proves rising CSR standards on the Polish market. Citi Handlowy successfully passed RESPECT's thorough audit and was included in the prestigious index.

"Corporate social responsibility is a crucial element of our strategy. Consequently, we are exceedingly proud to have met the strict RESPECT requirements and find ourselves among 23 highest-rated socially responsible businesses for the fourth time." declared Witold Zieliński, Vice-President of Management Board, Citi Handlowy, accepting the RESPECT VI certificate from Beata Jarosz, Member of Board, Warsaw Stock Exchange.

RESPECT Index includes Polish companies from the Main Portfolio of Warsaw Stock Exchange, businesses observing the highest standards corporate governance, information governance, investors relations and in adherence to environmental, social and personnel criteria. Companies that qualify for RESPECT go through a three-step qualification process conducted by Warsaw Stock Exchange and the Polish Association of Listed Companies in the areas listed above, as well as undergoing an audit by Deloitte, partner of RESPECT since its launch.
