Citi Handlowy in the RESPECT Index for the seventh time

The Warsaw Stock Exchange has announced the results of the seventh edition of the prestigious RESPECT Index ranking. Since 2009, Citi Handlowy has appeared every year among the companies honored by the Index.

During a ceremony summarizing the seventh edition of the RESPECT Index project, the latest rankings of the index were announced. The event took place on December 17, 2013 in the building of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. We have appeared in this ranking regularly since it began, thus confirming that we are one of the most socially responsible companies on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, which undoubtedly is not without significance for investors. It is recognition of our high standards in the area of CSR, which is also an important element of the Bank's strategy - says Katarzyna Otko-Dabrowska, Director of Investor Relations at Citi Handlowy.

The RESPECT Index, initiated by the Warsaw Stock Exchange, is Central and Eastern Europe's first index of responsible companies. To be listed in this ranking, a company has to maintain high standards of corporate governance, disclosure, and investor relations. Activities in the areas of ecology, CSR, and employee relations, which are an integral part of the business strategy of the bank, also have an impact on getting listed in the RESPECT Index.

Citi Handlowy continues to be a CSR leader in the market. It currently runs Poland's largest employee volunteer program, which has been operating since 2005 and boasts significant achievements in this field. It is thanks to this type of activity that we owe our presence in the RESPECT Index, which is now one of the most coveted distinctions for listed companies - said Krzysztof Kaczmar president of The Citi Handlowy Leopold Kronenberg Foundation upon receiving a RESPECT diploma.
