Over half a thousand Citi volunteers support paramedics in Warsaw and Olsztyn

The initiative of #CitiVolunteers for paramedics has already started. Starting on Monday, over 300 paramedics in Warsaw and Olsztyn have obtained balanced meals and disinfectant gels that are supplied, among others, thanks to the support Citi employees in Poland. "This way, we are supporting the frontlines fighting COVID-19," emphasize Citi volunteers in Poland.

Today, the paramedic personnel play a crucial role. There is a reason why they are called "silent heroes" - they work on the frontlines. "With these meals we want to express our gratitude for their invaluable work," say Citi volunteers in Poland. "They save our lives and health by working in a high-risk environment. Presently, paramedics work over then hours a day, and in the situation of limited activity of food bars and stores and an increasing number of cases of infection, this dinner is one of few "granted" moments during their day," underline volunteers.

Citi volunteers in Poland have rapidly reacted to the difficult pandemic situation. Over half a thousand volunteers got financially engaged in the preparation of warm meals for hundreds of employees of medical services in Warsaw and Olsztyn. Citi in Poland (Citi Handlowy and Citibank Europe Plc) have undertaken to support the initiative by contributing at least as the same amount as collected by the volunteers among the employees of Citi in Poland. On Monday, the support reached 310 employees of medical services.
