Why is the cloud so important? According to Tomasz Ryderowicz, among other things because of the speed with which it can provide solutions for businesses. This was confirmed by Jarek Kwiecień, who believes that the cloud is both a must and the future. As he said: Banks have only started their journey towards the cloud. This is connected with security, the shortage of specialists in that area and with regulations, for example in Turkey the regulator has forbidden the banks to use the cloud.
Kama Jaworska presented the types of clouds: public, private and hybrid ones, and their pros and cons. As she said: Safeguards used in a public cloud are much more complex than those used in a private cloud. Therefore, for example, the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) has opted for a private cloud, which is much more flexible when it comes to aligning settings, but its disadvantage is higher costs. The advantages of the cloud were also discussed by Katarzyna Woźniczak. As she emphasized: If we want to use a cloud, we create various entitlements, for different administrative accounts and roles, and those roles define the entitlements and what we can do in such environment.
As recapitulated by Piotr Mikołajczak: The cloud means new opportunities, using technologies that would be difficult to integrate in our local centers, and scalability is one of the key benefits.
