On the basis of the risk appetite and investment goals, we will identify the Client’s Profile and the relevant Investment Strategy.

Please remember that you can choose a safer Strategy than the one resulting from the specific Client Profile and Investment Horizon of the Recommendation.

Strategies and their matching Model Portfolios

The objective is to protect the capital and to achieve return rates on investment adequate to money market rates.

Presentation of investment recommendation

The recommendation will make it possible to bring your investment products portfolio purchased through our bank to the Recommended Tactical Portfolio (using selected investment funds). Investment recommendations are prepared in collaboration with the Investment Advisory Bureau. The Bureau’s Team is made up of people boasting extensive experience in investment on domestic and international capital markets, including specialists with licences of an Investment Advisor, Securities Broker or the renowned CFA certificate.

Fees

The bank charges no fees for the investment advisory service.

The service is available for Citigold Private Clients who hold at least PLN 50,000 (or their equivalent in USD or EUR) worth in investment Funds held in the Client Portfolio or funds declared for the service.

Investment advisory services related to foreign share markets

Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. has been entered in the register of agents of investment companies, kept by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, and acts as an agent of the investment company — DMBH. The Bank carries out brokerage activities within the scope of accepting and transferring the orders to buy or sell securities based on the authorisation of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority granted by way of decision DFL/4040/18/I/11/1/2007/26 of 13 November 2007.

Securities that are the subject matter of a Purchase or Sales Order are not guaranteed by the Bank Guarantee Fund referred to in the Act of 14 December 1994 on the Bank Guarantee Fund (Journal of Laws of 2009, No 84, item 711, as amended). Any guarantees by the State Treasury or other government institutions, if applicable, are confirmed with a relevant provision in the Issue Prospectus. Securities carry investment risk, which includes the possibility of loss of the invested capital. When making a decision to Buy or Sell Securities, the Client should consider the risk inherent in the investment decision, in particular the possibility of changes in pricing of the financial instruments constituting the object of that decision against the Client’s expectations and the resulting failure by the Client to generate the planned profit. DMBH provides investment advisory services pursuant to a permission from the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. The Bank provides the investment advisory service only to Clients who have concluded with the DMBH a contract for the provision of such service upon the terms and conditions defined in the contract and in the service regulations. The scope of financial instruments that may be the subject of investment recommendation is defined by the investment strategy identified by DMBH on the basis of the Client’s individual situation.

Investment advisory services related to investment funds

The Bank provides the investment advisory service only to Clients who have concluded with the Bank a contract for the provision of such services. The investment advisory service is provided by the Bank only within the scope of participation units and titles of open-ended investment funds, when the Bank provides the service of acceptance and transfer pertaining to purchase or sell orders (excluding Regular Investment Plans and Individual Pension Account). Acting contrary to the Investment Recommendation may make the Client depart from the Recommended Tactical Portfolio. Following the Investment Recommendation does not guarantee maintenance, increase or decrease of the value of the Client’s Portfolio. High percentage of assets not covered by the investment advisory service may prevent the Client from reaching the Recommended Tactical Portfolio.

Investment products and insurance products are neither a deposit nor an obligation, and they are not guaranteed by the Bank or any of Citigroup subsidiaries or affiliates, save for the investment products issued or guaranteed by Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. or a Citigroup subsidiary or affiliate. In the case of investment products, it is the duty of the issuer of the investment product to protect the capital and/or to guarantee the interest, if applicable. Investment products and insurance products offered by the Bank are not guaranteed by the State Treasury, the Bank Guarantee Fund (save for amounts due under bank securities and dual currency investments covered by the statutory cash guarantee system pursuant to the provisions of the Act of 14 December 1994 on the Bank Guarantee Fund) or any other government institution. The sums payable under Insurance contracts are secured by the Insurance Guarantee Fund to the extent defined by the Act on the Insurance Guarantee Fund. This means that if an Insurer becomes insolvent in the cases defined by the said Act, the Insurance Guarantee Fund will satisfy in part the claims of the persons entitled to benefits under life insurance contracts in the amount of 50% of the sums payable, up to an amount not greater than the PLN equivalent of EUR 30,000.00.
