You can open an account online within 15 minutes using the tuprocess . In order to do so, move to the process of opening an account. To verify your identity you will need only your phone and ID card. You can also visit the nearest branch of Citi Handlowy where our Relationship Manager will assist you in going through the process. The list of branches is available here.

In order to change the account type it is enough to submit an appropriate instruction in Citibank Online. You can do it in the “Contact us” section or by using the “Change the account type” option that can be found on the screen with account details.

You can set up an account with your child as a co-owner. In this case, the child must be 13 years or older and the account can only be opened jointly. Sharing a personal account means converting an individual account into a joint account. Thanks to the sharing of a Personal Account, account holders have full access to their personal accounts via CitiPhone, Citibank Online, Citi Mobile and at a Bank branch, and each co-holder has the right to use the funds in the Account on his own.

If a power of attorney is established, the attorney may at a branch of the Bank dispose of the funds accumulated on the Account under the power of attorney. The proxy has no access to Citibank Online and Citi Mobile, and the CitiPhone service is limited.

At Citi Handlowy, it is possible to share an account or establish a power of attorney to the account. You can place this type of order at a branch of the Bank by simultaneously signing the Deposit Product Agreement by all parties. To sign the Agreement, a document confirming identity is required - in the case of Polish citizens, a valid Polish ID card or a valid Polish passport; for persons without Polish citizenship, a valid residence card issued by a Polish government administration body or a valid foreign passport.

All Joint Holders of one Account must have the same foreign exchange status - resident or non-resident:

• A non-resident is a natural person residing outside the territory of the Republic of Poland, who is a non-resident within the meaning of the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Act;
• A resident is a natural person residing in the country, who is a resident within the meaning of the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Act;.

You can submit an instruction to add a co-holder to an account or a proxy using Citibank Online electronic banking:
